In Ucluelet on Vancouver Island’s west side, there is a coastline of black rocks that are very different from the coast a half hour north of there. I love that there is such diversity in this island that I call home.

In the winter the waves are a sight to see with storms brewing a strong force against the coast. In the past, this rocky coastline has seen hundreds of ships break upon them. Now storms call to tourists to see just how different the coast transforms in the off season.
